Frans J. H. Vosman The Family and Human Procreation (Summary) On May 13th 2006 the Pontifical Council for the Family published a sixty-page text entitled “The family and human procreation”. The document does not aim to develop new lines of thought, but seeks only to “offer pastoral guidance” and to “integrate different aspects” of family and procreation. Frans J.H. Vosman, Professor of Moral Theology at Tilburg University, the Netherlands, gives a reading of the text, faithful to its wording, and then offers some critical comments with regard to its line of thought and its purpose.
